Sustainability

Sustainability is an important part of our teaching and learning, aligned with the Australian Curriculum. We help students understand how their everyday choices can make a positive difference to the environment. Through hands‑on activities such as composting and learning about the three Rs—reduce, reuse and recycle—students develop practical skills and responsible habits they can use at school and at home. Our focus on sustainability encourages students to care for their world, think critically about waste, and become environmentally responsible citizens for the future.

Bio Bags

Nemarluk is phasing out commercial plastic bags in the coming months. These will be replaced with biodegradable bags from Coles. Students wet or dirtied clothing will arrive home in green transparent Coles biodegradable bags, which are a more environmentally friendly option. Nemarluk would like to thank Coles for their ongoing and generous contribution of bags.
